Sustainable Chicken Scratch

Chickens just gotta scratch and peck. Giving our hens great quality, U.S. sourced, GMO-free scratch keeps ‘em healthy and promotes overall well-being. Balanced diets are really important to us… and to our hens. So we created our chicken scratch to encourage them to eat healthy. We recommend chicken scratch be fed as a treat and take up no more than 5-10% of a chicken’s overall diet. They need other stuff, too… variety matters.

P.S. We probably don’t need to remind you that balanced chicken diets produce healthier chicken eggs. And that’s a win.

The GMO-free thing sold me since I'm trying to keep their diet as clean as ours. My six hens cleared the whole scoop in under ten minutes and the eggshells have been noticeably harder this month.

My hens actually fight over the sunflower seeds in this mix, which tells me they know it's quality scratch. The pieces are sized just right for their beaks and there's barely any powdery dust at the bottom of the bag. Feels good knowing it's all U.S. sourced and GMO-free, too.

The mix is clean and consistent—no dusty filler or weird seeds that end up ignored in the run. My flock finishes every last bit, and I feel better knowing it’s U.S. sourced and GMO-free, which was the main reason I switched.
